She surprised him with a Lotería card... and honored Dolores Huerta too.

Most of the custom Lotería cards I create are for the powerful mujeres in our lives — the chingonas, the jefas, the everyday warriors.
But my most recent card? It was for a man.
And it touched me deeply.

A friend reached out wanting to honor someone special — a lawyer she admires, someone she proudly called “El Abogado Más Chingón.”
He was born in San Francisco, works in law, and fights for our people alongside none other than Dolores Huerta.

She even sent me a photo of them together. She wanted Dolores on the card, along with San Francisco elements, to reflect who he is and what he stands for.

Designing that card made my heart full.
Because men like him — men who care, fight, and serve our gente — don’t always get celebrated in this way.
But they deserve it.
