🌙 Mija, the need to keep going is the voice of survival...

Hola chingona,

This week, I’ve been in a weird space, that in-between of knowing rest is sacred… but still feeling guilty for not doing more.

I know I’m not alone in this. As first-gen Latinas, as immigrants, we were raised with this deep-rooted belief that rest has to be earned. That slowing down is selfish. That we have to prove our worth 24/7.

Pero guess what? That mindset is survival mode talking. And mija, we are allowed to grow past survival.

Quote by Viridiana Osio

I’ve been reprogramming my mind daily, choosing slow mornings, journaling instead of doom scrolling, giving myself permission to be instead of do. It’s not always easy, but it’s necessary.

💭 A member of my book club recently shared that now that her kids are grown, she’s finally giving herself space to heal. Journaling helped her open up new conversations in her marriage, and that made me so proud. That’s the kind of ripple effect healing creates.

If you’re in your healing era too, here’s how I can support you:

Final Note:

Mija, I’m proud of you, whether you’re just starting your healing journey or knee-deep in it. You don’t have to hustle your way to healing. You just have to show up for yourself, even in stillness.

Con amor y space to breathe,
Viridiana
