Hola chingona,
I used to think I had to have my entire life figured out, and it would cause me to have anxious thoughts. That if I didn’t have a clear path, a step-by-step plan, and the confidence to back it up, then I had already failed. I would look at other people and think they had it all together while I was here, having a meltdown almost every other week, questioning my existence. That could also be an Aquarius thing, but either way I had them.

I also felt ashamed of those moments, but now I see them for what they are, and that is my body’s way of telling me I need to slow down, realign, or adjust. It’s not failure. It’s awareness, and guess what? Life is hard sometimes. And sometimes we have to break down and cry, let it all out.
And if I’ve learned anything, it’s that waiting for things to be perfect is the biggest waste of time. You don’t need the perfect moment to start your business. You don’t need to have your life to receive love. You don’t need to feel fully confident to take up space. I wouldn't be here if I had waited for everything to be perfect.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned about manifesting is that you must start denying your current reality and step into the version of yourself that already has what you want. Instead of saying, “One day, I’ll be confident,” I tell myself, “I am confident.” Instead of “One day, I’ll be a speaker,” I say, “I am a speaker.”
I’m living that truth this weekend by speaking at Women's Day: The Power of Storytelling. Am I nervous? Yes. But I also know I belong in that space. I love connecting with people and sharing experiences, and I know I deserve to get paid for this work. Maybe I’m not getting paid for this event, but I know I will one day because I’m done waiting for permission and thinking I am not good enough for opportunities like this.
If you’re in San Diego, join me. Let’s step into this next version of ourselves together.
