Happy Saturday. The past two weeks? Whew. It's a little emotionally rough, not gonna lie. It’s been one of those times where the universe was like, “Oh, you’ve been healing? Let’s see how healed you really are.” And honestly, I’ve been sitting with that a lot. I don’t even like saying “healed,” because healing isn’t linear. It’s not a box you check off and move on.

Healing feels more like scabs. You start to heal, then boom, something triggers you, and it's like you’re picking at that same wound again. Whether it’s fear of the unknown or self sabotaging , it’s messy. But what I have learned is that there’s always a lesson in it. Always. Even when I want to say fuck this I’m out.

This season brought me one of those deep, uncomfortable tests. And I realized that when you set boundaries, real ones, for the first time, you will see people’s true colors. If they can’t respect your boundaries, they probably never will. Some people only love the version of you that they can manipulate. That realization hurt, but it was necessary. It helped me let go and realize that my energy is not worth investing in.

Even through the emotional rollercoaster, I’ve felt a shift, like something new is coming. Like everything is going to be okay. So if you’re in that space too, give yourself some grace. Take breaks. Rest. Reflect. The lessons are always there, you just have to give yourself space to hear them.
